The shrine is very beautiful and special, and the location a hill offers great views over Tsuwano and the valley. The highlight however (at least for me) is the walk up to the shrine, thrue 1000 orange Toris. Really beautiful and unique ! Go there...More

A serene shrine with some lovely views of the area. The walk up the hill through torii gates is well worth it if you are able to cope with the steps. Very pretty lit up at night as well with lanterns up the hillside.

The shrine is situated on top of a hill, and the climb up, although tiring, will reward you with views of the little town and is also where you can take the ropeway to the old castle. There were more locals than foreign visitors when...More

About ten minutes by car from downtown Tsuwano on a hilltop is the Tsuwano Inari Shrine. Like many other Inari shrines, it is also brightly painted in red and quite good looking with the green of the mountain. The view from the shrine complex is...More

Its a pretty steep zigzag climb up the path towards the shrine but also very short. You could probably do it in 10mins and probably less without breaks. The shrine itself look fairly rich aka everything was brand spanking new and offers a good view...More

Beautiful, quiet, and the perfect setting for walks and thoughts. We visited it around New Year's Eve, and the decorations were extraordinary.
