A highlight of my 3-week trip from Hakodate down to Matsue. Be sure to go with someone or look for another solo hiker when you get to Mitokusan; they discourage solo hikers due to somewhat challenging/remote conditions. Fun trek and tremendous views. Remove your shoes...More

I am afraid no. If you want to hike, it may not be suitable to bring hiking stick as there are some steep slopes which you need to climb and with the stick, it is not convenient unless the stick is foldable.
