ごく普通の寺院

下市町の古い町並みを撮り終えて、駅に向かう途中で見つけたお寺です。どこかで聞いたことのある名前だったので寄って見ました。狭いごく普通の寺院で、それなりに歴史はあるようでした。

曹洞宗の寺院

近鉄・下市口駅直ぐ近くに建つ曹洞宗に寺院です。隣が浄土真宗本願寺派の"光明寺"で並んで建っていました。寺号の建つ場所から境内を眺めると近代的な建物となっていました。正面の屋根付きの階段を上がった場所が本堂となっていました。境内を参拝してみたのですが、もともと狭い境内となっており建物の占める部分が多いように思えました。
