It has a wide range of seafoods for sale for omiyage (souvnir) from the local waters. Venders are busy offering samples to convince you to make up your minds quickly. Because this is a Roadside Station, it does have an information desk, but it's almost hidden with busy commercial activities. It also has a mandatory restaurant with a good range... More

There's not a lot to do in Rausu and this is one stop most visitors will probably stop by. You can buy fresh seafood from here and bring them to the restaurant or eat the raw stuff on the spot. There's lots of dried goods which are produced in Rausu which you can bring home for yourself or as gifts.
