When I was doing research for Tomamu I struggled to find out a lot of information about the resort (especially the terrain) and had no real idea what I was in for. I have recently... read more

We stayed at the Resonare Tower. It was huge... it contained the largest spa ever seen in a hotel room with accompanying sauna! 100 square m room was almost too big but we managed. This section of the Resort was quieter and very friendly. We were impressed with breakfast on the 32nd floor. The staff were friendly and the French... More

My wife and I went to the resort for pleasure and relaxation. However, our experience was terrible because too many people from China (maybe) did not follow instructions. In addition, they pushed and cut lines to get on or off the bus. NO staff member stopped them to ensure safety and services quality. I do understand this might be a... More

When I was doing research for Tomamu I struggled to find out a lot of information about the resort (especially the terrain) and had no real idea what I was in for. I have recently returned from a 10 day family trip and thought I would try to put my thoughts into writing in the hope that it might help... More

A very nice and beautiful resort. I am not into skiing so we visited the swimming pool instead. Very nice to swim in a tropical wave pool while seeing the snowy mountains outside. There was also an ice festival going on with shops inside iglos and an ice skating rink.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Tomamu. The accommodation in the Tower was excellent and the runs gave us a good mix of cruisy, open skiing and a few challenges. There is a very good shuttle bus service to get around the resort's numerous activities and the network of tunnels makes getting between accommodation and the many restaurants very easy,... More

Its all about the snow for us. Tomamu doest receive anywhere near as much snow as other more popular Hokkaido resorts, but we took a punt and luckily did get snowfall. My only issue with Tomamu is that the lifts go on wind hold way too soon than needed and this effectively closes down the mountain. I also get the... More

We stayed at the resort for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. The resort has many facilities including the Mina-Mina beach and the ice village during winter. There are many restaurants within the resort but can be crowded during peak hours. There is a direct bus from Chitose Airport to the resort but would recommend to book in advance to... More

Decided to add Hoshino Resort Tomamu to the itinerary in the hope that we could get skiing lessons arranged for the little one, but after much to and fro-ing regarding availability of places, we found out very late that no places were available. We decided to head there anyway for a day or so and spent the night on Dec... More
