Nice views of the south china sea. The day I visited didn't have nice blue sky though. Not many tourists there, can really enjoy the sight in peace haha

This place is great if you are looking for something fun to do outdoors. The view is stunning! Lots of cool scenery & places to take photos. Cheap activity to get the family outside for an afternoon.

Wide open spaces, interesting architecture, and beautiful views. Our 3 and 7 year olds loved exploring and thoroughly enjoyed the shaved ice at the exit. Great hour/hour and a half activity!

One of the beautiful places I visited. Nakagusuku castle is about one hour and half drive from Naha airport. The castle is situated on the top of a mountain and provides beautiful view of both Pacific Ocean and East China Sea.

UNESCO heritage site, there’s not too much left of an original construction though. After ticket purchase, short golf cart ride brings you to a start of a sightseeing route. There are good views of both sites of Okinawa from the top. Most of useful explanation...More

May I suggest you look into a page called U Ride on facebook. Taxis can be expensive. As mentioned in another comment you can also get an international drivers license and rent a car so that you can travel more freely.
