If the weather is fine, hiking is really nice in Tsugaike Natural Park. The scenery is so nice with lovely flowers. You can easily reach it with a mountain lift. In a mountain lift station you might buy a special brand of Japanese sake.

I visited in summer season. In spite of hot under sunshine, it's cool in the shade of a tree, even can see lingering snow just aside from a boardwalk in bog, because of about 1,900 meters altitude. It takes 3 hours half or 4 hours...More

After a gondola and ropeway ride up (3,200 yen return) we enjoyed a easy walk along raised wooden walkway. There was still snow there mid June, but later in summer you could hike more for several hours. Other hikers were also hiking from top down....More
