This place got renovated as well. its much cleaner now... it seems like the whole of Hakuba is getting renovated and new shops appearing everywhere...

As it contains much mineral, this is great Onsen. But there are also some disappointing factors here.
- only 1 bathtub. Need one more inside as well.
- water pool inside occupies too spacious. Smaller one is sufficient.

This is my favorite onsen in Hakuba because the water is rich in minerals. It is "outdoor" but there was a plastic tarp closed over the viewing portal--maybe because it was snowing so much. The water is a rich reddish hue and really steamy hot....More
