A fun day out. Small slope good for family. We skied in the morning and snow shoed in the afternoon. It is promoted as having the cross country course, but the ski rental does not rent out the equipment as the shoes are so old! Maybe they should invest in some more modern ones - especially seeing they have the... More

Another family friendly area, most of the ski schools come here with beginners and children. Good, groomed slopes lower down with more technical slopes higher up. Be aware that the lifts here are configured for the shorter skier, which can catch the taller skier off guard when it comes to getting off.

Most satisfying of the Hakuba resorts for a solid day of intermediate skiing. Spectacular backdrop, generally less busy than the others (except for the buses for tourists back to hakuba - make sure you're early enough and happy to cram in!). Top to bottom from the Gondala is a fantastic run and done at speed is a great thrill! The... More

This is one of the Happo ski & snowboard resorts that favours both skiers and snowboarders really well. It is broken up into three sections, front, middle & back mountain. Due to it being a little quieter when we were there some of the lifts were not open but we still had plenty to get us to most sections of... More

We skiied here with dust on crust, some powder to found as well, great tree skiing for the advanced and overall great experience for the whole group.

We were staying on Sakka Slope (access to Happoone) in Hakuba, but didn't really care for the conditions there, so we investigated some other places to ride. We'd heard other people mention Iwatake so figured out how to get there and spent some time at this resort. There are three morning buses to Iwatake from Sakka Slope, your looking for... More

A very good day of skiing at Iwatake. Even with Happo One and Goryu in the clouds, Iwatake was drenched with sun. It's an odd setup but loads of fun. They have groomers, boomers, trees, gullies and much more. Free 5 minute shuttle to and from Happo Bus Terminal and info center. Definitely worth a visit.

Whilst there aren't too many lifts there are enough runs to keep you busy for the day. The green/red run from the top of the gondola to the base is great fun. Again a more off the beaten path resort - very close to Happo One but we were in Goryu so a bit further away. Well worth the visit... More

Very wide slopes, easily accessible by shuttle, nice noodle restaurant close to the station. Another beautiful slope in Hakuba!
