The pond is actually not very big but it's very pretty. The blue color of the water and the dead wood gives a very mystic feeling, especially early in the morning . Definitely worth a visit.

It's better to go to Biei first to visit the Blue Pond. Then to Furano as there's more to see at Furano besides Tomita Farm. So the balance of your time after Biei will decide how much to cover in Furano. Check google map... More

Hi Bebe O, I read that now it is open for a shorter period of time and will close earlier each day for rehabilitation. Hope this helps
