Great bazaars with food samples

Go earlier in the day as samples run out later in the day :) Sake area looks awesome though we didn't experience (as we don't drink).

When i visit there in Dec 2016, many locals and local skiiers were going as well. There was sake promotion, and as a foreigner thats the first time I learnt much much more about sake. One of the sake being promoted was made by "new rice", and the taste has its character that even a person dont drink often could... More

This is an excellent honey trap for people who are getting into sake. Pay 500 yen for 5 shots of sake, and there is a truckload of choice here.

Yuzawa-town is very convenient snow district from Tokyo. It's only 75min.by Sinkansen-Express from Tokyo Station. You can enjoy ski and snowboarding there from end of December to top of April. And good for hot springs, Japanese rice wine "Nihonsyu" and Japanese rice there. I recommend you to visit "Cocolo Yuzawa " in Etigo-Yuzawa Station facilities. You can get fine souvenir... More

1 cup of your Inoguchi 1 coin, you can taste willingly sake. (5 cups / ¥ 500) I Niigata sake is delicious any rich flavor, their preferences you will find always if you come here. It is very convenient for together with the Shinkansen station.

Visiting a winter ski resort in the height of summer presents some challenges, but the little village of Yuzawa still holds a few sweet charms, and this train station market is definitely one of them. There is a very helpful visitor's center (the staff members speak pretty darn good English) attached to the bookstore. There are a lot of restaurants... More

Echico-yuzawa station is full of vitality with beautiful shops, which is different from outside quietness. Among others, ponshukan is really interesting. With 500 yen, I enjoyed 5 different sakes. What lovely sakes I had there! I could compara different tastes. I had even 5 more tastes. Total 10 kinds of sakes gave me interesting and relaxed experience. The result? I... More

So many kinds of saké, pickles, beer and food souvenirs. Looks very nice after the renovation & the sake-tasting section is lots of fun. Nice place to browse for snow-country specialities. I can very much recommend the Yasuda yogurt products, tastiest yogurt, ice cream etc. i have ever tried. A friend from Sweden who joined us our last trip to... More
