A woman came out seeing we were looking a bit lost and called our hotel to get them to come and get us. How great was that!!!. This was the best service at a train station we have received on our 3 week trip in Japan. Thank You. !!!!

They speak perfect English and are friendly. I don’t agree with their recommendation to eat at the restaurant across from the train station. Yes, the restaurant is conveniently located and the staff speaks English but it caters to foreigners and the food was not good at all.

Almost useless

There could and should be so much more offered here. We found one brochure in English, I had already collected this at the hotel. We could not find anyone who could offer us assistance in English concerning the myriad of activities in the valley. The restaurant table server was of more help to us. With the volume of tourists that pass through this station there needs to be a major overhaul of the services they offer here.
