This place is very old and has bags of charm. I had pork belly with apple sauce, mash and vegetables and it was delicious. They were very busy that night but our meals were not long in coming. We will eat here again.

8 of us, 4 adults 4 children all found the food scrummy. Husband enjoyed the beer and the surroundings. Lots of history about Nelson to take in and staff were very friendly.

Nelson's local still has bags of atmosphere and is well worth a visit. The meals I've had there have been well cooked and reasonably priced. Pity the range of ales etc is so limited; is that the fault of the brewery?
