Super informative astronomy talk. It’s a shame we had 100% cloudy skies but can’t knock them for that. Our group size was around 15-20 people which felt a little too large.

Taking advantage of the dark skies near Kielder forest, the observatory is well equipped with powerful telescopes and lots of powerful binoculars available. The presentation was very informative and interesting and views of the stars spectacular. First time I had seen Saturn through a telescope,...More

The experience had the potential to be very good but a cloudy sky prevented us from making the most of our visit. Check the weather forecast before booking. £20 per person was a little on the expensive side. Interesting presentation but a touch amateurish. Good...More

The observatory, manned by enthusiastic amateur astronomers, is an excellent facility within the Kielder dark sky area. Milky-Way class viewing - unless cloudy! Knowledgeable staff, great facility, and a very entertaining evening.
