Simple and friendly little museum. Worth 15-30 minutes to get acquainted with the history of the area and the many influences on the local cultures.

To understand the local area I normally find the small local museums a great information source. The displays are well labelled for French and English.

Took my parents to Bourail for the day. Lovely tables in the shade outside the museum so had our picnic lunch there. No charge and beautiful location. Took a tour of the museum and it catered well for english speakers. While small it was very...More

Excellent local museum with good English interpretation. New Caledonia's only guile-teen was a surprise. Also went to the local markets which are not large but a great spot to people watch

This is a provincial museum that provides a glimpse into the local history. It is well cared for and maintained, easily accessible with parking. As with many attractions in New Caledonia, it does not cater well for speakers of other languages with limited summary translations....More

Museum rather sparse and little English interpretations. Guillotine was fascinating😧. Not expensive to visit worth the stop

Sorry Bev P., haven't been looking at Trip Advisor, and didn't see your question. Unfortunatly, I don't know the cost of trip you ask about.
