My 3.5 year old was a little overwhelmed, but my husband loved it. The outdoor parcours is fantastic and the indoor exhibits were detailed and well organized. We also enjoyed a simple lunch at the attached cafe. The two little informative films are great as well. Overall, I wouldn't necessarily travel to Aveyron to see Micropolis, but once there, it's... Micropolis proved to be an excellent way to spend a rainy day. Enjoyed a good couple of hours with the exhibits. (Tip: pay for the English hand-held guide to enjoy the exhibits to the full.) A number of live exhibits, although a bit more variety in these would be good. The town is also worth exploring. Recommend the croque-monsieur in... More

First let me say , This is more suited for children. The exhibits are missing the WOW! factor. I was expecting more insects in much larger numbers and cages. what we were offered was more a cross between natural history museum, and insect house in a zoo. It was all a bit disappointing, but i did notice that smaller children... More

Great museum about insects, kids will love this. My kids (4 and 7) loved id. We stayed in and around the museum for several hours, even lunched there. The ants' labyrinth goes trouhgout the whole museum, fun to see. Bee hives are interesting to see, all sorts of insects live in big terrariums with adapted plants etc. Great to do... More

My sons are very interested in natural history and insects in particular. This was advertised as the premier attraction for the genre. And if you like seeing dead insects pinned in display cases.... this is the place for you. To be fair, there were live ants, bees and bumble bees, but frankly we expected to see things that we couldn't... More

We went to this place on the spur of the moment, having had a faster than expected journey up from Spain. We'd noticed the brown signs on the way down the A75, and decided to check it out in the afternoon before we checked into our hotel. It's very easy to find, and we're glad we went: a nice walk...
