Amazing building from the outside and inside……currently under renovations but the paintings look beautiful and cannot wait to god back for a look when it’s finished.

Nice view, especially in autumn. The city is small, you can walk from the center in 3 minutes. I recommended

The monumental cathedral- built in Baroque style with classicist notes-, evoked ambivalent feelings in me. Compared to the size of the town, the surprisingly large church is impressive in its size, but I wouldn’t say it’s beautiful. Sure, there are those who find it appealing, but then "de gustibus non est disputandum". On the façade, six Corinthian columns hold a protruding ledge. In the line of these columns, there are statues of six apostles.
There are two truncated towers on each side with two large windows and also a great clock. To me, the whole thing seems brittle rather than welcoming.
The interior of the church with four side altars, on the other hand, is very decorative, has beautiful paintings. I especially liked the fresco on the dome ceiling and the picture of the meeting of the Virgin Mary and St. Elizabeth on the main altar. Above the platform is a half dome, and next to it, an ornate pulpit. The designer was apparently in love with the Corinthian columns. In fact, the use of columns makes the space more impressive. Next to the walls are the aforementioned Corinthian half-columns, and the organ and choir are held by six Corinthian columns.
The acoustics of the church and the grand organ make the cathedrals suitable for concerts.
There is a crypt under the church. It served as a burial place to church dignities. The location of the cathedral is also very lucky because it is only a short walk from the Danube. It’s a functioning Catholic church, so if you want to see it from the inside, first find out about the Mass.

This is a nice cathedral in the historical downtown of Vac.
The building is impressive and it is worth popping in.

It is a nice cathedral with a big square.
The square is very spacious and the cathedral looks fine.
River Danube is just a 5-minute walk from here.

A quite impressive cathedral, considering the size of Vac town, not only outside but also the internal decoration. Worthy dropping by if you happen to be there.

For a small Danube Bend town we weren't expecting such a large and impressive cathedral which has an equally large rectangular paved forecourt. Built around 1761, this is the fourth church to have been built here since the eleventh century. It is said that the style of architecture is French, neoclassic and late Baroque, in any case it is very impressive with columns on the entry, two clock towers, statues above the front facade and a rear dome. As Sunday mass was in progress we did not enter the cathedral to view the interior.

Just a beautiful Cathedral in Konstantine Square. Finished in 1777 - it is an amazing building. To give some scale - the front doors are almost 5 meters high! Beautiful and cool inside. Not a real tourist attraction - I had the whole church to myself. It was a very nice surprise for me. Must see in Vacz...

You can't help but see this church if you walk past the town square. The platz in front is great for people watching.
