It is one of the places that Puccini loved more, and one of those where the "maestro" spent more time. If you like his operas this is the place to enjoy the places where he got inspiration. And the lake of Massaciuccoli is really an inspiring lake.

This was a highlight of our time in Tuscany, a little gem of a museum in the house where Puccini composed most of his major works, including La boheme, Tosca and Madama Butterfly. All of the artifacts are original, the piano on which he worked and paintings by artist friends who stayed in the house The small marble chapel is... More

The place is unique, filled in with an atmosphere, and priceless artefacts. Unfortunately, becomes less valuable, when you've got no clue what's behind it! When you go to a museum, you look for an additional information! More than just an arid printout!!!!!! They couldn't answer a single question about exposition. Personnel appear ignorant and incompetent. Beware, also of being misled... More

Extremely well kept villa belonging to Puccini. Many original features and belongings are on show, as well as Puccini's grave, personal piano and hunting gear! It's a must-see for anyone in the area who's interested in music. You won't be disappointed! It's a small shame that your visit is timed - you're not free to wander round at your own... More

A lot of thought and effort has gone into the villa. Even if you are not interested in opera it is worth a visit.

None shall sleep - unless more visitors come to see the ground floor of the maestro's home-because the Trust needs more funds to renovate the bedrooms!! This is a charming house filled with a cornucopia of Puccini's personal effects.Overlooking the gorgeous lake,Torre del Lago clearly inspirational as this is the place where much of his work was written Well worth... Be careful when you arrive as the house is closed after the 12 noon admission until 2.30pm. Interesting collection of Puccini memorabilia. It will be good when the restoration is complete and the upper bedroom floors open to visitors.

the house where lived Giacomo Puccini. It's possible to visit only ground floor and therefore the price of the ticket ( 7 Euros ) it's too expansive

It was tricky to work out when you could get in, as the gate was locked during opening times (very restricted opening times, so do check). You are let in a few people at a time, which means you don't get crowded out rooms, but we preferred not to follow the groups as they listened to the audio tour, but... More
