Well worth searching out this excellent collection of memorabilia from the important WWII days of the Sunderland Flying Boats protecting the Atlantic convoys. There's also a good display of Pembroke Dockyard's part in naval and social history from 1816. And the volunteer guides make the visit very informal and informing. MartinS

Many highlights I rich tour through the recent warfare history of the Milford Estuary The enthusiasm from the volunteers is astonishing, that and the Sunderland cockpit experience is worth the visit alone Don't go there expecting an interactive bonanza, this place is about grit and reality, and if content is more important to you than razzmatazz, then you will just... I was here on the 21st April 2017 for the official opening of the interactive Sunderland Cockpit. I must admit that despite being a "local lad", I have previously not visited. I was there in my capacity as an Air Training Corp Adult SNCO, with my cadets for the opening. I was literally blown away by the sheer scope and... More

I finally got around to taking the kids to this wonderful building this half term, I had taken them to the Flying boat restoration project shed a few years ago over by the dock. I was fascinated at the other information and artefact in this newer attraction. I bought a family annual membership as it was such good value and... More

It was a freezing cold evening but there was a large turnout for the talk. The atmosphere was excellent, the coffee and the exhibitions good, the talk better. A fine evening. Pembroke Dock is the home of the flying boat, the heritage centre is its beating heart.
