Miles of sandy beach, edged by sand dunes, dog friendly areas, this place would be the perfect place to pack a picnic on a sunny day and spend the day. Showers and places to buy food/drink if needed.

Love this beach, great open space to walk our boisterous, fun loving dogs. Family friendly too and lots of space for ball games and lots of sandcastles.

Living just five minutes down the road from this beach I’ve enjoyed it all my life from toddler to 40yr old. I’ve been blessed and travelled far and wide, seen many many beaches and barring one this is the best that I’ve been to (the...More

A lovely, easy walk, from Burry Port although the landscape is fairly monotonous for about an hour until you reach Pembrey Park, & then on to the beach which is stunning.

By uncommercialised I suppose I mean unloved and badly maintained and that's what describes the few buildings on this former wartime ordnance factory site. But look past that and take in the miles of walks in the woodland and the fantastic huge sandy beach and...More

I was very surprised about this beach. Like, it's amazing! The people looking after this beach were not lying when they said it was 8 miles long. It STRETCHES for miles on end with fine and glorious sand, everywhere. I've loved everything about this beach,...More

Nearly 8 miles of glorious beach with only a small part of it with dog restrictions. You can walk for miles and nearly have the beach to yourself. Lovely to paddle on a warm sunny day and walk the dog at the same time. Tide...More

We have always loved Holkham Beach in Norfolk but this is almost more impressive. Certainly easier to access. We have found so many facilities for outings in Wales you must go!

The beach is 7 miles long, and although the main Blue Flag section is kept litter free, dogs aren't allowed here and much of the remaining 6 miles has a tideline of plastic and fishing-related debris. There really is no excuse for this, especially as...More

I’m afraid I can’t help with dog friendly B&Bs in the area as we were staying with my in laws. However, your dog (and you!) will love the beach. It’s wonderful. Our dog was sooooo happy the whole time there!
