I really enjoyed my afternoon spent in the Castle Ashby garden. It is a very quiet and romantic location especially during the winter when not many people are around. Free to visit, £5 for parking at the site and lovely place where to walk

We wanted to have a walk somewhere away from the traffic and stumbled across these gardens. Parking was free and plentiful, purchasing tickets easy and informative at reception and we bypassed the tea room to walk before it became too hot. We wandered around for...More

Enjoyed a lovely picnic under a shady spot. My godson really enjoyed watching the meerkats and the tortoises. Finished the day with an inexpensive ice cream - perfect!

Walled garden is just grass. orangery is poorly maintained, all buildings (and their surrounding grounds) are off limits. If it were free and I lived up to 10 minutes from it would say, sure why not. But really, don't bother.More
