A hidden gem - we will return

Visited this theatre for the 1st time as we wanted to see Rock for Heroes. It’s a lovely theatre. Quite small but very welcoming. It’s housed in a complex with a museum and community groups. The theatre is actually on the 3rd floor. The theatre is on the smaller side but still holds enough people to create an atmosphere. The acoustics are excellent and the view to the stage looks good from all angles. This theatre is an asset to a town that doesn’t have too much going for it at the moment. The group & the sound were amazing. Will look at going here again.

As normal the staff here are fantastic and always go the extra mile. The shows appeal to the children and with it being such a small theatre you really feel part of it. We took disabled children and their helpfulness was fantastic. More people need to take a lead out of their book

Lovely little theatre that I spent most of childhood in! From Panto's to live music nights it's a really nice night out and tickets are usually no more than £15 each. Easy to get to from the train station and buses.

Aladdin Panto
Jan 2019 • Family
My family and I hadn't been to the Thameside panto for years, ever since Damian Williams (who played the Dame left) However this year we decided to book the panto and what can I say? It was great! We were all so pleased we went to see the Aladdin Panto, it really was brilliant!

The tickets are really well priced, a lot cheaper than other pantos in the area. The only downside in the theatre is the leg room, my Dad and I really struggled with space for our legs when sitting down. The theatre is small but I think this added to the panto performance because it made it feel intimate and the characters could really interact with the audience. It was a full house the night we watched. Every actor/actress put their all into the show and we couldn't stop laughing from the off.
The actors that stood out for me were the Dame (Luke Coldham) he did a great job and my favourite of the night was Abanazar (Richard Burman), he was fantastic! The costumes were fab throughout, especially the Dames. The 12 days of Christmas song was great - it had the audience in hysterics.

After seeing this year's show we will definitely be back next year! Well done on such a great panto!

I go every Christmas Eve, this year it didn’t fell as good as last years one, the ice cream has been up to £5.00 really for a small pot of ice cream, rip off, but it was good tho I got a photo with Danny as well, after waiting outside the cast door for a little while, they say not to take any Photos but when I was waiting at the cast door I heard a lady say to someone else, look I took this photo of Dannie on stage, I think it’s not far doing that’s that they should investing in night vision to caper people who do this she could of got a photo of one the children as well in this, but anyway, it was amazing but not the best I have been

Aladin pantomime
Dec 2018 • Family
Aladin is a great pantomime played by fantastic actors. We all enjoyed performance. Polka dot theatre never disappointed us. The best costumes ,
Enjoyable dancers. Truly stunning play. Extremely popular no empty seats.
Only one complaint I would have:
Thameside theatre please stop selling popcorn or any sweets wrapped in a noisy foil. Theatre is not a place to eat noisy, smelly food.
Great supportive staff.
Thank you Thameside theatre .
Regards, Paul

Very disappointed with this year's pantomime. Dan Osborne playing the genie wasn't in tonight's show. I go to to the pantomime every year but just think something was lacking and all very flat. Thameside you can do better.
