Gorgeous Sandy Beach in a beautiful part of the country. Lots of rocks for the kids to climb and have an adventure, clean water for a dip or a paddle along the shore. Fun day out had by all and a smashing sunset to top it off

What an amazing beach this is. We parked at the golf club near Brora harbour and walked across to the beach. It was well worth the walk and is truly a stunning beach in every way. It is really clean with massive street of fine sand interpersed with a few rocky outcrops. An ideal beach to walk the dog or just to stretch you own legs. We loved it and so will you I am sure.

Beautiful clean beach. Visited on our way home from scrabster for a quick splash in the water and didn’t want to leave. Didn’t look or feel like the north east of Scotland!! Parking in the golf car park did make it tricky!

Probably my favourite beach in Scotland. Revisited Brora after 10 years & it was vibrant with new shops & it was sunny as we love to remember it. Introduced our Border Terrier to the beach & he loved it.

The Front Shore - (North of the River) is golden sand all the way to Kintradwell where it runs out, and you are met with rocks and the railway, you can go further, but its a bit of a struggle to get past all the rocks for about 500m.
As you walk along, there are lots of sea birds, and the Artic Terns are there for a good part of the summer. When they are nesting, you have little choice other than to go up off the sand a walk along one of the grass paths that run along the side of the golf course, but the views are still special. If you are going along the sand, then you will encounter three burns (streams) you can either hop over the stones to get by them, or if the water is high, you can just go onto the golf course and cross one of their bridges, which cross the first two burns. You can easily spend a couple of hours down here, and its great for dog walkers too.
The Back Shore - (South of the River) this can be accessed from a beach car park in Lower Brora, just go past the harbour, turn left, and left again up over a small hill. This beach isnt so sandy, but when the tide is out is great for rock pools, but watch as the tide can come in behind you in places. If you keep walking, in about half an hour you come to a waterfall, which is a nice spot, keep going a you pass the coves, where there are a couple of caves, but they are hard to reach and the rocks up to them are slippery and steep. On the beach here you can see loads of seals, further on and you come to the Stratsteven Broch, this will take over an hour of good walking to reach. And if you feel really adventurous, then you can keep going to Dunrobin Castle and eventually Golspie, which is just over six miles along the beach. Time it right and you can get a bus or train back to Brora after a well earned coffee and a sandwich at one of Golspies cafe's.

There are two beaches in Brora. One north of the river - the Front Shore - and one south of the river - the Back Shore
The Front Shore can be accessed from the Golf Club car park (on Golf Road). There is a long stretch of clean golden sand and there is a great view along the coast as you walk northwards.
The back shore must now be accessed from the track besided the Fisherman's Mission at the bottom of the brae on Gower Street. Winter storms washed away the path from the car park off Salt Street. Go through the old gate and follow the path for a few hundred metres across a cow-field until you get to another gate. Go through that and you are on a beach which can be walked to Golspie. A good walk is to the waterfall at the Sputie Burn at the Doll and back and you will hopefully see some seals along the way as well as getting some spectacular views over the Moray Firth.
Either beach is a great place to blow the cobwebs away and fill your lungs with good fresh sea air

Brora beach has to be one of Scotlands most pristine. Stretching for a few miles it is spotless and free of flotsam and jetsam. There's also a bonus for birdwatchers around the time I visited, in the form of a colony of terns nesting in a protected area of sand dunes. The beach is accessible from Dalchalm or Brora itself.

What a place; we started the walk from Brora, walked round to Dunrobin (which is beautiful) and then onto Golspie. The views are stunning and if you want to get away from people this is the place for you. It's fantastic for wildlife spotting - we were lucky enough to see the seals beached, deer and lots of birds. Absolutely lovely.

I live in Brora so I use the beach most days! It's a beautiful clean beach! In the summer on hot days you pretty much have parts of it to yourself!

Lovely golden sands beach. Enjoyed a walk from the village to the beach as there are many different walks in the area.
Would recommend a visit to the beach and the area.
