I have been to the FAAM several times over the years although not recently. One of my uncles used to serve here when he was younger so, every 2/3 years we would make it a destination of choice when he left the services. I have never tired of it although I did unintentionally give it a miss for a quite... More

A day with school children looking at planes and finding out a little history, from our guides. The aircraft carrier experience was great fun, as was a visit to Concorde. Great for kids as lots of hands on displays.

I found this museum a very interesting place to visit & the displays were first class, easy to get up close & very informative. I have an interest in the Fleet Air Arm, as my father served as a mechanic with them in the 1940's, but refused to ever talk about his time in the Navy. I took some of... More

Was very excited to visit the museum and it definitely didn't dissapoint! From the moment you walk in there is plenty to do and look at. Took us around 4hours to cover the whole museum. There's something for everyone. There's also ramp access to most things so it's suitable for wheelchairs/pushchairs. A huge carpark at the front which is free.... More

We called in, as we used to many years ago, on our way West & it felt like hardly anything had changed. The entrance is still impressive, as is just sitting in the car park watching aircraft take off & land! We had fond memories of the children's play area outside the restaurant but were saddened to see the health... More

Great afternoon out particularly for kids. Fabulous collection of aircraft accompanied by detailed background information - learning curve!! On the downside, the Gift shop and the attached restaurant are a bit pricey. Very disappointed that BOTH flight simulators were out of order, one will be so for the next 4 years! Also, the cafe was closed and there was nowhere... More

Visited here on a damp chill November and spent a thoroughly enjoyable 5 hours wandering through the exhibits and Halls on my own, the Ladyboss deciding she didn't want to disrupt my ramblings. They have a good collection of aircraft on display with plenty of clear informative boards. All facits of Naval airpower are shown and the Carrier Experience was... More

Had a wonderful day out looking at all the exhibits and getting to explore some of them such as Concorde. Was good value for money and extremely enjoyable. It was a couples visit with our 8wk daughter and it was easily accessible with facilities where she could be fed away from the public in the first aid room/toilets and changed.... More

The FAA Museum provides an opportunity to see some rare aircraft and exhibits. The displays are generally well presented. The staff were splendid: friendly and enthusiastic. However, sadly, the fabric of the building and some exhibits are looking rather tired and in need of some TLC.
