Beautiful place. Don't go with excessive expectation. There is only an activity, that trek into a waterfall. No any other attractions other than wild beauty and a waterfall. I strongly recommend to keep a bottle of water. Vehicle are not allowed, so it is suitable only for the persons who can walk around 8km.

There is two hifts, 10:30 and 1:30. A forest guard will accompany you. Entrance fee is 120 per person.

A three-hour trek from the base of the Dhoni hills will take you to the pristine beauty of nature and the lush green surroundings will rejuvenate your senses. The trekking starts at the foot of the hills near the Teak plantations. A narrow mountain way is there for four-wheel drives and bikes that lead up to the waterfall; however private vehicles are prohibited from traversing these roads.

This place is situated in Palakkad District. It is a very good place to visit for weekend. The trek is divide into 3 batches starting from 9.30 am in the morning and 11.00 am and 2.00 pm. You have to pay entry fees of Rs 100/- per head. You will not be allowed to carry any plastic covers or bottles along with you. You will be accompanied by a forest guard.
The trek is approximately 4.00 km through the forest. it will take around 2 hours to reach the waterfall. Do not expect a big waterfall. This one is a small waterfall. You will not be allowed to get into the waterfall nor take bath. it was a wonderful experience. When we visited the place there was light showers graced upon us which made the trip more enjoyable. PS : if you want to have food please take the food from palakkad town or olavakode town. once you enter into railway colony there is no good restaurants.

A 4 km trek through the woods with wife and 3 year old kid. Enjoyed the walk. Kids cannot do this themselves. Take this up only if you can support them through. The trek ends at a waterfall though you cannot enter it.

There is an alternate, kid safe water stream at the start where you are allowed to enter. Everyone must enjoy this part. Clean, natural stream which should not be missed. And for those not interested in a walk go spend your time at the stream.

Entry fee : 100/- per person
Timing : 9:30am, 11:00am and 2:00pm

You will be accompanied by a guide.
