About
Elefantastic Elephant Sanctuary, a unique conservation project set in Jaipur, Rajasthan has been in operation since in the 2000's with a goal to provide a sanctuary and elephant rehabilitation center. Mission: To protect and conserve elephants in a natural environment and to provide a healthy and fruitful life for all those creatures under our care. The rehabilitation center is owned and managed by a former Elephant Rider (Rahul) and focuses on healthcare and breeding management. Although Rehabilitation Center was established in 2012, my family involvement with elephants dates to over four generations; before the Rehabilitation Center materialized, As I pondered about the possibilities, I realized that I want to give people an insight into the lives of Asian elephants. There are vast misconceptions across India that animals - especially elephants – are badly mistreated. I decided that I wanted to eradicate these misconceptions. This decision inspired me to start The Elefantastic.

One of my best experience in india
First we arrived at the owners house where we recived a home cooked vegetarian meal that was very delicious .
And after we arrived at the sanctuary where I had my best experience of the whole trip.
Never imagined I would ever had the change to interact with these beautiful animals like this.
Feeding them ,sit on there back, playing with water and going for a walk with them was just amazing!
The brothers Rahul and Vicky and the rest of the sanctuary
Are doing a tremendous job at taking care of these animals.
I would recommend this trip to anyone traveling in the golden triangle Or plannig a trip to India

Met the most wonderful, playful and gentlest creature at this amazing place. Once in a lifetime experience. The best thing about it was how excited Shakuntala got to see her owners and handlers showing the love between them. The elephants are really taken good care of here. They make sure that there is no manhandling and cruelty to the animal. She's extremely friendly and there was never any danger of getting hurt. Worth it. Will remember the experience fondly forever.
Thanks to Rahul and his whole team at the farm for making it so memorable.

I tripped with Shakuntala. The elephant was friendly and cute and wholesome and the people made sure we had a good time. They will even give you tea and all while you chill with Shaku, or any other elephant that’s there. Best part is how well kept these babies are.

This is definitely a MUST if you're visiting Jaipur. Words can't even begin to explain the incredible experience we had. It was hands down one of the most memorable experiences of my life and I have traveled to over 25 countries in my 35 years of life. Rahul, his team and his sanctuary are truly miraculous. It is such a beautiful space and they truly care about their animals. This was something we were hesitant in doing because we care for animals more than just overworked and abused entertainment. We got to spend almost 4 hours really connecting with and getting to know Saku and it was such an incredible experience.

I had woderful time there in elefantastic, with a female elephant her name is Sampa. I fed her and bathed her with my friend, and then she drove us all the way around the house... Thanks for the great decision I made, so that I could have such good memory! Thanks a lot for Elefantastic workers, thank you for all you do for the elephants! Some day I will back to see them again...

Each and every moment was memorable. The staff made us comfortable from the moment we entered their farm. The elephant allotted to us was Chanda. She was extremely loveable. We experienced the joy of touching Chanda, feeding her, painting on her and bathing with her. I would definitely come and visit Elefantastic in near future.

We had the most amazing time at Elefantastic! I had ridden an elephant in Thailand once before which was an awful experience since they treated the animals horribly. Elefantastic was the opposite experience. You can tell the animals are loved. We basically had the place to ourselves with our elephant Shaku, and got to feed her within minutes of arriving. Then we painted her, bathed her, sat on her back so she could bathe us, and then went on a walk together.
Rahul and his family have thought of everything, we had a fresh water bottle handed to us every 30 minutes which was much needed due to the heat outside. They had towels for all of us after being soaked, and umbrellas for us to protect us from
the heat as we walked Shaku. Finally, we ended with a meal at Rahul’s mother’s home, which was absolutely incredible. Her cooking and her hospitality were unmatched.
I felt very safe and that this experience was 100% worth my money. Definitely recommend it if you are considering it!
If they sold merchandise, we would definitely have bought some. That was our only suggestion - to start selling t-shirt’s or other items!

We would like to visit Elefantastic on the 11 January. We are staying at the Umaid Bhawan Heritage Hotel. Can we book a day there with pick up/drop off?

Hi Samantha. Coincidentally, we stayed at the Umaid Bhawan Heritage Hotel this past summer, and visited Elefantastic. To answer your question - yes, the Elefantastic driver picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at the end of our visit. You’ll enjoy the hotel (the rooftop restaurant is very good), and the Elefantastic experience is amazing!
Have fun....and Happy New Year!

Hello, we tried to visit elefantastic but could not find it . The location on trip adviser takes you to the wrong place and nobody knew where you were. We were ushered into a different elephant village )with terrible tripadvisor reviews) and decided to go back to our hotel very disappointed.

It’s in elephant village, not that they advise that fact. This place is a sham. These elephants are used at amber fort all morning and then forced to perform. Check the photos they do get ridden by multiple people at a time too...

We are a family of 6 and would be interested in going to Elefantastic on Friday morning November 15th. Do we need to make a reservation, or can we just show up? Thanks, Laurie

Don’t go, this place is profiting from animal misuse. The animals are used for riding at amber fort. Excess elephants are sold on to other ‘handlers’ to use as tourist fodder. I was duped by this supposed conservation ideal. There is nothing remotely like conservation happening at elefantastic

Our group of 4 are interested in possibly visiting elefantastic this afternoon. Would you be able to pick us up from our hotel in jaipur and if so, how much would it cost?

You have to book an appointment earlier. Once they confirm the dates, they will arrange for the pick up from hotel.

Hi I hope to visit in February but after reading the reviews I’m a little concerned that you still allow rides on the rescue elephants especially as the elephants have been used for this all of their lives.
Kind regards Tessa

The elephants are used for riding at amber fort.... check out all the photos that show people riding them. This place is a scam and the owner a liar
Hi
Could you please tell me how much is the ticket for visiting elephants?
Regards
Anis

You don’t get a ‘ticket’ however the place is inside elephant village. Which you are meant to have a ticket to enter. So if anything goes wrong you are there illegitimately.
This place is a scam and massively over priced. Just visit elephant village properly... don’t give your money to this shiester
Hi, I’m interested in visiting the elephant sanctuary.

You should book it a few hours or days in advance. I think, the owner only allows a certain number of visits a day. He had space for me that afternoon. Enjoy!! It's a once in a lifetime experience! I reached out to him on Facebook.

Hi, my wife and I are coming to Jaipur in the middle of February. We would like to book a tour that would allow us to visit Elefantastic from 9-1 and then have a private tour of the sights of Jaipur from 1-5 or 6. Can you help us set this up? Thanks!
