Really good attraction with helpful and friendly staff. Site is not big so can be done in less than half a day. Good value for money.

What an incredible place. The staff couldn't be more impressive and the recreations of the round houses have a real woe factor. It's February half term so there was the opportunity for our kids to join in the fairy tale fun session; making wands and crowns, and having their faces painted. The lady who ran this session was really talented.... More

We eagerly anticipated an exciting visit for our family at Castell Henllys, we were very disappointed. From the minute we entered the attraction we were the only guests there. While trying to pay at the entrance we were rudely told to wait while a new member of staff was given training, this took a number of minutes while we were... More

Between this and a stop at Pentre Ifan, we had an amazing day in ancient Welsh history! While this site has definitely been designed with schoolchildren in mind, it is still a great visit for history buffs and tourists interested in the past. There is a bit of walking involved but nothing too strenuous (just take your time climbing up... More

I wish this was nearer to where I lived so I could go more often. Beautifully laid out and so interesting. My small children (4 & 7) had a thoroughly brilliant time. From the moment you walk from the car park there were interesting things to see and read. The staff at reception were welcoming and enticed us into signing... More

We weren't expecting much more than a few earth mounds and the odd explanatory panel; Castell Henllys provides so much more. A clear map of the site gives information on the exhibits while there are people acting out stone age life demonstrating cooking, weapons etc. All thoroughly absorbing. The café provides a range of food and drinks.

Iron age history... walk up the hill to go back in time to the iron age...see how they lived. Very interesting and nice walks around the grounds to! Dogs are welcome on short leads...and the staff are very dog friendly and give your dog a treat before you go round. Kids can go on a barefoot walk and have fun... More

We visited castell henllys today as a family with four children. It's very educational and interesting to see how people lived back then . The reenactment were fun to watch and the kids got involved with the villagers. We recommend visiting castell henllys

Lovely walking around and seeing how they lived during the iron age. Stopped in cafe before heading home and the chocolate brownie is lush
