This place is located in Government complex and near Tibetan parliament. Good number of books and you can speak to Monks and local people. Visit only if you have some time or could be avoided. Located on the road approaching Macloadganj.

People who are visiting Macleodganj must visit this attractive monastery at least for once, and spend some time inside to do meditation.

Its a beautiful monastry where you can spend some time in a peaceful environment. Its best if you sit there for a hour or may be more to have an immersive experience. The location is also very pristine. A must go, I would say :)

Nechung Monastery is a place to walk in peace and quietude and just “veg out.” Its peaceful environment is accompanied by a scenic view where you can just sit and meditate for hours. The monastery is located just below the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in the Tibetan government complex and has beautifully painted walls. You can interact with the monks and nuns if you wish and they are open to contact and discussion.

The place has such a good positive vibes that I have seen hanging around for hours and hours without doing anything really. You will just enjoy the positive environment without doing anything and without getting bored

A place to visit to wind out of the city buzz. Peaceful place that wasn't crowded, nearby there was the Tibetan Parliament in Exile and the Tibetan Archives of works. Visit to gain a glimpse of Tibetan culture and way of living
