The Holistic Massage Centre, is located within Ladies Venture hotel in Mcleod Ganj and is run by Shammi Kumar- an experienced and knowledgeable masseur. Massage techniques include Ayurvedic, Swedish, Tibetan and all with elements of reflexology and acupressure. Shammi also gives courses to those interested to learn, which are flexible and comprehensive.

I had a massage on 27 September 2024. The massage rooms are well set up and pleasing to be inside.
The massage was a lovely combination of professionalism and caring. The young masseur was obviously well trained and experienced. She used her hands confidently and with care as she moved across muscle and tissue using various amounts of pressure as appropriate. It was a very pleasant experience. I would definitely go again if I were staying longer. Teresa

I highly recommend booking a massage with Shami or his cousin “JoJo” while you are in McLeod Ganj! Shami was very easy to communicate with, got back to us quickly, and gave good directions to an easy to find location. Everything was clean and professional and they paid extra attention to comfort.

Suman was amazing! She has been doing massage for over 25 years and it shows. I got a 90-minute holistic massage and it was incredible. She really tuned into my body and where I needed the most work, and immediately started there (my shoulders and back) and kept at it to remove many knots. I will be back!

I have had one of the best experiences with Holistic Ayurveda Massage Centre in Mcleodganj. I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Jojo, and feel so much lighter afterwards. Most of the tension was in my shoulders/neck, but the feet and head massage were my favourite.
Sammi and Jojo took complete care of me from start to finish, and I have already made a second appointment in a few days time, as well as going on one of Sammis tours to tea Gardens and monasteries in Dharamsala. Both very friendly and genuine people. This is a real gem in Mcleodganj, treat yourself while travelling or visiting to complete bliss🌟10/10

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our couple’s massage at Shami’s Holistic Ayurvedic Massage Centre. He was extremely hospitable, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. He met us on the street to make sure we didn’t get lost :) He had two of his talented staff assigned to each of us. He set us up in a warm room with bamboo walls, relaxing music, and the scent of essential oils. My Ayurvedic massage was the best massage I’ve ever had. My wife’s deep tissue massage was skillful, deeply therapeutic and personally tailored. We got tea and a nice chat with Shami when it was over. We highly recommend!

arrived with a badly strained back and muscles, a lot of pain.
Got a highly professional massage treatment , which made a big difference.
Came out a lot better, physically and emotionally.
Since my condition was very bad, I came back the next day for another treatment, and got better still.
I am going back for a third session, hoping to improve even more.
J.J. is a skilled therapist, very attentive, devoted and in tuned .
If you are experiencing some kind of pain, or just want to enjoy a thorough massage - go for J.J. from the Holistic Massage Center. You'll be in good hands!

Many thanks to Jojo for the best holistic massage ever - in fact it was so good I had two head to toe sessions one after the other. I was apprehensive about getting a massage from a man, but Jojo was deeply respectful, and brilliant. I now feel ridiculously relaxed! Chilling on the terrace after the massage while sipping lemon, ginger and honey tea and enjoying the view of the glorious Himalayas was also pretty incredible!

If you like short and to the point reviews, Holistic Massage provides the BEST Ayurvedic and holistic massages I have ever had (and I get massages regularly around the world). Full stop. Call and book one now! If you like more details, keep reading. I read about Shammi in Lonely Planet guide. So I booked straight away the day I got in to McCloud. I let my friend get a massage from Shammi and I had Jo Jo. Well, that was it! I went back over and over again! Both Shammi and Jo Jo are professional and know exactly what you need! If you want the most sublime experience, book a 4-hand massage with both of them at the same time. I also took a 6 hour massage course from Jo Jo and learned so much! These guys know there stuff and are so nice!! There was only one problem... I have had three massages since leaving and NOTHING will ever compare to them! So beware! As a bonus, Shammi also runs Holistic Adventures and Blackberry Taxi so he can literally and seamlessly arrange anything for you in the area! One stop shop for all you need!!

After traveling so long in the car my body felt stiff and tense. I decided to go to the Holistic Massage Center for a massage. I was welcome very friendly and Sharmi, the owner explained me everything. I decided to get the massage from a lady called Suman. She had different techniques and pressure methods , mostly to relax the muscles... It worked... I feel very relaxed... And I will go back on Friday.

We experienced both 30 minute and one hour massages with three friends. Shami was helpful in finding ways to always have us treated at the same time. The studio is clean, the guys are kind with good training in techniques. Overall a good unpretentious experience!
