Honestly I'm surprised this sess pit is even called a lake. It's full of cow turd, litter and sadness. Taxi's fly past you with little regard for your safety on the winding road on the walk up. The surroundings are in a state of disrepair and despair.

Small lake with no activity. Not worth the visit. On way to naddi point. Wish they had boating etc. here and made it more popular.

Undoubtedly abundant natural beauty around the lake makes it picturesque but the surroundings need to be kept clean.

Dal lake is nothing but just small pond in summer rains. During winters it is just dried pond surrounded by pine trees . It is on the way to Naddi , 15 minutes drive from Macloe . This point could be avoided during winters . In summers it is surrounded by green forests and few street vendors. Good for photography lovers in summers when lake has some water. Parking can be done road side and no other travellers facility.

This place is lush green and surrounded by pine trees. Quite place to walk. You can spend few hours here and can have maggie and momos with hot tea.

This lake is situated in McLeodgunj and is filled up with water during monsoons. During summer the water dries up. However, it still provides beautiful views with pine trees lines aside its shores. There is a restaurant situated on the banks of this lake but will only appeal during monsoons when the water is up to the brim.
