It is a very good waterfall. The water is coming down to a pond where people use to take bath. Nice ambiance. Parking is big issue there.

We visited Bhagsu Nag Temple on 19 April 2022. The waterfall is quite away from here therefore we did not go there in person. We did see the Waterfall from Naddi Point by the binocular.

A very long walk for the view, definitely a typical waterfall which ensures you put in the effort to make the most of the enjoyment. As it is a little bit of trek which is well paved it may not be a problem. So worth visiting it.

We missed reaching the top in the fall as there were too many stairs to trek. We were already tired so we changed the plan mid-way. But we got some lovely pics.

We visited in December, and the falls were anything but spectacular. From the distance, it looked like a trickle. If you fancy a good hike, you can visit.

It's a beautiful waterfall but you have to walk a long way to reach there. If you are staying in Dharamkot you can ask locals to guide you for a thrilling shortcut hike. That will lead you to the waterfall from upward mountain area. Later, you can walk down the route towards temple and head towards Mcleodganj. In this way you won't get tired.
Do not swim in the waterfall, it's deep.

Winters not the most enchanting time to visit this fall..... Though there are spectacular views ....traffic jams are chaotic and hence one may need to walk about 1.5 kms ( not much ...but in the mountains this can 3times more the effort ) ....avoidable with small kids and elderly.....

It was tiring but we enjoyed the walk to the Waterfall. Upon reaching the location there was a little cafe over there and we enjoyed our time at the waterfall.

Hi, as you are planning your trip in mid December, the night temperatures may likely to dip by single digit, where chance of poor visibility of sky is first concern.
Then comes about spending day time:
As the weather itself most inspiring, one can have very quality time by visiting ancient Bhagsunath temple, Bhagsu falls with minimum two hours of Triund trek in nature.
Then have a visit to Tibetan Museum which depicts the total information of his holiness Dalailama's life history in both pictorial and a short film.
Then at Dharamshala, visit War memorial Musuem and HPCA Statidum (one of the World's most attractive cricket stadium in higher altitudes).
And, last but not least to say, visit Naddi village to have first hand experience to watch snow clapped mountain range at very close view with very very great panoramic view around.
I am sure, your day will may not be sufficient to spend and still you may feel like short of time.
Have a pleasant holiday at McLeod.

No Snow :) Snowing happens in Late Dec - Jan. Last year, there was NO SNOW!!
But it will be cold during mid October - 12-14 degs, I guess. If it rains, it will be lower - chances are less, though.

Would you recommend women taking a shower in the falls? Is there a place to change there?
TusharParul
Nagpur, India53 contributions
There is no place to change over there. A woman can take a dip in the water, however there are a couple of things to be kept in mind. First of all, the water would be very cold at any time of the year, so please bear this mind. Secondly, the woman should make sure she is modestly dressed for a dip in the water, as people are bound to stare women in India. It is a second nature here. Hope this helps.
hello friends....iam planning to visit macleodganj ....what is the best time to visit macleodganj??

if going for Kheer Ganga or Triund, it is must to check the weather. Also, I would recommend to complete the one side in one time and another one in next. So choose either Tosh, Kasol , Kheerganga or Triund, Mcleodganj.

Hey traveller friends ...we will be reaching dalhousie on 27 . Can someone suggest an itinerary for 28 29 30 and leav back for delhi on 1st eve.
Will this be fine:-
27 dalhousie( stay at khajiar)
dharamshala stay 28,29.
30 kangra visit(stay at palampur). On 1st visit baijnath at palampur and leave for pathankot.
Please advise.

You can reach Dalhousie on 27, spend sometime in Dalhousie, actually there is nothing to do over there, few attractions are Subhash ki Bowli and some Hill views. Khajjiar is around 22 km from Dalhousie. You should spend more time on the way to Khajjiar, you can spend time to see Kalatop Wildlife sanctuary which is nice and there is a temple on the way where you need to go by foot.
Khajjiar is a good place to stay for 1 day. You'll love plane views and paragliding.
2 days are required for Dharamshala, visit MacLoadGanj, its nice place for tibatian shopping and Bhagsu Nag gor a fall and temple and good views.
Baijnath - you need to check weather if you are going for paragliding.
Palampur - I am
Not very sure.
