Summit of the trek is a beautiful view to behold
If you are not used to 2 to 3 hours of trek, might find it a little hard. It's steep climb, covering 600 meters in 3 hours. For most of the folks, it's very much doable. But once you make it to the top the view of the Moon Peak and it's neighboring peaks is breathtaking. Worth every sweat. Some folks stay overnight as tent / camp options are available. We left at 8:30am and got back by 4:30pm. We were slow as I had some difficulty with my knee coming down, given the constant descent from one stone to another. For most folks with no bio-mechanical problem with knees/hip, it's very much doable.

    Triund review
There are various ways to get up to Triund. We started the tour close to the Meditation Centre in Dharamkot and right at the Watertank turned left into the forest. From there up to Gallu Temple and further to Triund (There is another way starting close to Zostel Dharamkot). The way up is technically not very demanding but a good stamina helps a lot cause it will be very exhausting. The scenerie is beautiful, the air clean and you will find sufficient shops to refill water and buy snacks. It took us about 4,5 hours with breaks. Up at Triund you will find various camping sites as well as a small shop with tea and (warm) food. The camping sites are in very good condition. The way down we dismounted the long way via Devi Mandir and Black Swan Camps. This way is not very recommendable in my opinion since it is very crowded and very steep and takes around 3 hours to get down. Nevertheless, you finish the tour at BhagsuNag Waterfalls, another highlight on the tour.

Spectacular views. Very good day trek.
We started by taking a short taxi ride from Mcleodganj to the start of the trek. That cost 500rps. They tell you before the trek that it will take 4 hours to get up and another 4 hours to get down. It is quite a steep slope going up, but it took us 2 hours to get to the top. From there you can take as much time as you want to have some tea or get lunch. When we went up there was a bit of snow, which made it a little slippery, but nothing treacherous. You could probably do this trek without a guide. It is very well marked and there are enough people doing it you won't get lost. There are a few tea huts at the halfway point and up top if you need to buy something to eat or drink. I would highly recommend taking water with you.

An easy 6 hour trek. An overnight stay on the Triund Top is nice experience. Hire a guide from the town to make it interesting

This was one of my first proper treks and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The trek started at Gallu temple and it was an uphill climbing of roughly 7 kms. It might take 4-6 hours depending on your pace and number of stops you make. Make sure to carry raincoat with you. You can buy it at the beginning. Also recommended to carry extra pair of clothing, water bottle and some snacks. There are 2-3 shops at half point and then at the top but they will charge 2-3 times higher. The views are mesmerising and beautiful throughout the trek. Rains made the views much better but at the same time - trekking difficult. I opted for HimTrek for the overnight camping. It cost me 1200 bucks which included guide, tent stay, 2 times chai, dinner and breakfast. The camp stay might be the tough for some people. But nonetheless for me it was a great experience and looking forward to do such more treks in future.

I managed the full loop from Mcleodganj, starting the Triund trek from Bhagsu Nag looping into Dharamkot and back to Mcleodganj within 8 hours. That being said, it is a long day of walking and I think I would have enjoyed it so much more if I did an overnight camping.

There are two routes to get there. The trek from Bhagsu Nag is shorter than the one from Dharamkot, but it is also steeper and more scenic.

I have trekked this trail numerous times in the past. It is a very easy trek which you can choose to do in a single day if you are not up for camping over night. The mystic views from the top of the mighty dhauladhar range will leave you in awe.

Wonderful trekking to the top of TRIUND peak which is approximately 10000 ft above sea level.
Trekking is steep steps an ardous route which takes to the top of mountain.
I completed the trek in 5 hours and back to the base of TRIUND hill, total trek of 10-12 Km.

From the base you may take a taxi to get down to Tushita meditation center or Mcleodganj bus stand which is another 6-8 Km. The taxi's are small maruti cars which will charge 500 rupees both ways.
Since, I had time so i walked all the way from TRIUND peak to Mcleodganj bus stand.
