I went there recently along two of my school friends. The place was covered under the trip to Mandi. We started from Delhi at 4 am and reached Sundernagar, some 5 km before Mandi by 2 pm.
Next day started for Kamrunag Temple via Rohanda village.
One needs to trek for 7 km to reach the temple. However, the trek is not well maintained or marked at many places. Since it was monsoon (and it was raining also), the trek was slippery. Moreover, it was all foggy.
There are no sign boards, shops on the way. Also, since it was an off season it actually gave us the required solitude which we Delhi people desperately seek in the city.
Basically one needs to continue to move up and up to reach the temple.
The well paved trek starts just one KM immediately before the temple. Along the way were beautifully planted vegetation which was soothing to the mind and soul.

The temple has a lake or rather a pond which the locals seem to have high regard. One can eat at a small makeshift eatery offering Maggie, momos and rice dal. Also, loo facility is there.
Return journey though is fast but it takes a toll on the knees. Hence, it is recommended to pace your journey accordingly. One should also keep enough water and some eatables, medicines as there is nothing around.

Finally got a chance to visit Kamrunag temple with family. The trek is not that tough, only 1-2 points where gradient is bit demanding. Good paved road in most of the way. The lake’s view is satisfying but water level was not much while I visited in June 2019.
Good place to consider to spend a day!

My driver cum guide took me to Kamrunag, a mystical temple located at height of 3335 mt in Mandi district from Sundernagar where I was staying overnight. Initially I was told I have to trek four to five hours from Rohanda, a tiny village, that too described as steep and tough. After enquirng from local people, I came to know that one can drive from a village named Saala by hiring a four wheel drive vehicle from Chail Chowk area and reach a pathway to temple considerably reducing the distance to five or six km. Unfortunately I couldn't get a vehicle and my taxi driver took great risk in driving me to half the distance. I have to trek for three hours on rough pathway used by local villagers and reach this mystical temple by the side of lake. Sacred Kamru Nag Dev is known as Rain God and also place of wealth granting Yakshas. People offer gold, silver and coins throwing into the lake. The enchanting trek through thick vegetation, with panoramic views distant Pir-panja Himalayan ranges, Balh valley transports one to unknown spiritual arena. It's a must to take a guide and also carry drinking water, fruits, some packed lunch as no food is available near the Temple. As it's located at high altitude, it's necessary to wear woollen jacket and cap to protect from cold and chilling wind. A must for nature lovers with physical fitness and also for serious spiritual seekers. Temple is closed during winter as there will be heavy snow in the area.

Kamrunag is known as the Lord of Rain in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. In Kamrunag temple money and jewellery offered by devotees is not deposited in the banks rarher immersed in the lake water. This trend is being followed by centuries. No one knows how much currency notes, coins, gold and silver jewellery is settled in the base of lake as due to religious significance people does not step inside the lake. But it is a common site to see currency notes floating on the lake water,”

According to the stories no one can take these with out lord kamrunaag permission.

temple of Kamru Naag Located in Mandi District, really a trek with wild dangers.
if some one want to experience this dangerous trek then lets come with us starting point "Chowki" and ride up to the temple with a zeal to reach at top and seek the blessing of God , but a slight fear of Wild Bears, so dangerous"
but in this trek you will never even feel such type of thing all the way, our zeal makes us too exciting and curious to move ahead.
after a trek of 8-10 km/3-4 hours you will reach at top"Temple of God KamruNaag / Kumarwah".
even here is a lake full of gold and silver, notes, coints in dozens in it. its un identified that how much fall it.
and our history says" its a place from where we can see "Kurukshetra, Haryana"
we have great fun !
