Beetsterzwaag is a nice small village. There are some beautiful buildings on both side of the main street. The villa Lyndenstein with its garden and the bakery in an Art Nuouveau building are the eye-catcher. This small village church from 1804 is located on the street in front of the bakery, next to the fire station. It's in the middle of a small graveyard. It's not open when we're there and it will be opened on saturday as there's a classic concert in the church. We took some pictures and walked around the church and left.

Two rich families came together and decided to finance the construction of this church on a 50/50 basis. In 1804 the church was ready. It is of simple design like many other Protestant churches in those days. The church is surrounded by a cemetery and located a bit off the main roads. Accessible for people with wheelchair or stroller.
