We stopped by on a recent trip to Burgundy. It was a wonderful feeling to stand by the cross and drive around the historic La Romanee-Conti. A tip to other visitors, the google address leads to I think the house of Monsieur Aubert de Villaine. For the actual Plot take the Rue du Temps Perdu up the hill till you reach the wall and cross. Its just peaceful and humbling to stand there mid slope and look around this beautiful place which makes the best wines in the world. La-Tache’ is back down towards the village and to the right. Fortunately the road is named after it. Overall a pilgrimage that every serious wine drinker needs to make.

You are not allowed to step into the vineyards, there are signs all around saying no entrance. This technically might be illegal (after harvest anyone in Burgundy is allowed to take grapes I was told). But hey the wine is famous and incredibly expensive so they might have gotten an exception.

Our tour took us to this famous vineyard. To the un trained eye it looked exactly same as the one beside it.
No real distinguishing marks other than a bunch of people withe camera's.
Anyway pleased we stopped to have a look and hear the story about this patch of vines. Lucky for us they were actually picking grapes the day we were there.

Is it possible to visit Romanee Conti without a private tour for $ 450 dollars.
It is my absolute favourite vineyard to visit. We will be there around June 17th 2019
I am in the Restaurant business and was lucky to try a few of the best Pinot Noirs in the world!!!
DRC LaTache, Richebourg, Echezeau ......Montrachet !
It would be my absolute dream to visit Romanee Conti.
Any help is most appreciated

You can easily get to look at the vineyards, as there is a road right next to them that every tour company uses to check it out.
Also that $450 is in no way getting you a tasting at Romanee Conti, it is probably just taking you around in a nice van to see the vines and probably having tastings at nearby places, only an act of god will be able to get you a tasting there.
