The Church at the Einsiedeln abbey is nothing less than fabulous. Regrettably photography is not allowed inside. The rest of the huge abbey is also worth a visit. There is a pretty good tourist shop as well selling many religious items (and wine).

We decided to take a trip out to Einsiedeln to see the Kloster and were really impressed by the sheer size and grandeur of the building. Inside, the ceilings are highly decorated and well worth seeing.

What an impressive venue! You can look hours at it and never a dull moment! Also the stables are impressive! Don't go on a tuesday because then a lot of the venue is closed.

When I stepped into the church I was overwhelmed by the gorgeous and extravagant decoration of the interior, and was impressed that it is in such good condition. The outside gave no indication of what was inside. The sanitary measures in place were also remarkable.

When finally I could get there, I was totally impressed by this abbey. It is massive and beautiful. The church is very nicely decorated (see the picture). And the part of the cluster is still public, with notably horse stables. There is also a cafe on the side of the building. Don't miss it if you happen to be in the area. And read its history!

As I have primarily traveled to Europe in the past few years due to proximity to my home in Israel, I have had my fill of churches - therefore, we were not planning on stopping here at all. I am incredibly glad that we accidentally stopped in Einseideln, otherwise we would have missed this truly extraorsinary church and it's beautiful surroundings! You are not allowed to photograph the church from the inside, but its is truly a fairytale experience - the stones and pictures inside are painted with bright and happy colors, which was very refreshing. The store was also very interesting, and the horses in the abbey yard truly are the cherry on top of a very beautiful an colorful cake. Do make the stop - there are many terrific restaurants around as well, and Einsiedeln is well in the way of most drives around Schwyz Canton.

Just an amazing place. The whole monastery is still very active, the 16:30 mass "Salve Regina" attracts worshipers and tourists alike. The church also boasts a "Black Virgin Mary".

Beautiful architecture, peaceful gatherings for the devout or not devout, magical atmosphere.

Be sure to visit during the monks singing around 5 pm.

A power place.

Have witnessed amazing health recoveries after visiting the black madonna.

A beautiful abbey with ornate inside and the black Madonna. In the behind part there’s horses to pet, and parks around make it a dreamy place. Overall a nice place to visit.
