The ultimate arctic experience and at minus 10 degrees IceBar Melbourne is definitely the coolest place in town and the only venue of its kind in Australia. The IceBar is made from over 30 tonnes of sculpted ice where the walls, tables, chairs and even the bar is made of ice! The current theme at IceBar Melbourne is ‘creatures and monsters’ and features a 3 tonne ice dragon that welcomes you upon entry into the ice interior. During your stay at the IceBar you are provided with a snow cape and gloves to keep you as snug as a bug in a rug and it’s the most fun you can have with (lots of) clothes on! It can take over 40 man-hours to cut and sculpt just one figure within the IceBar and it took just on 6 months to freeze enough ice for the creation of this amazing venue. The IceBar isn’t just for grown-ups; kids are welcome every day from 10am to 7pm making it a unique outing for the whole family to enjoy. While adults are offered a selection of icy cocktails, kids can enjoy fruity drinks whilst being provided with customised capes and gloves. IceBar Melbourne will turn an experience from memorable into unforgettable, so be sure to add a visit to your ‘to see list’ whilst in Melbourne.

Visited here with 6 friends. Got a surprise when we walked into the bar after donning ourselves in coats and gloves, and saw how small it was I expected bigger. The barman was friendly and got our shots and cocktails ready for us straight away....More

The price is a bit high but good for a once off experience. Kids loved the ice sculptures and playing 0 and crosses on the ice.

we bought vouchers on line and we're excited, but on arrival it was just the two of us in the small room, which had minimal ice sculptures, everything else appeared to be clear plastic. We bought a drink, $18 per cocktail... Wow after paying $30...More

Although I was looking forward to it when I booked it online, I was disappointed when I visited it. It was just a small, very cold room with some ice carvings and a small bar in a corner. The cocktail I had was good. But...More

Fitzroy is an unusual blend of working class roots,
hip gentrification, and a robust bohemian work ethic.
Along Brunswick Street and its side streets, you'll
find little independent shops where local clothes and
furniture designers display their wares. There are
specialist bookshops, funky record bars, and quality
vintage clothing shops where browsing is the next best
thing to buying. Gertrude Street is famous for its
