We enjoyed our visit to the Collingwood children's farm. My little one enjoyed cuddling a guinea pig, pointing out the chickens, pigs, goats and horses. Great little garden for a walk around. Affordable activity to get kids out for the day and engaging in the world around us. The staff / volunteers were all friendly and helpful. We had a... More

We take our daughter there regularly. She's 2 now and loves roaming around seeing all the animals. It's worth joining a tour as the animals can be a bit aloof sometimes and on the tour you get to feed them. Our daughter loved feeding the pigs! The cafe is nice and they also have farmers markets there on the 2nd... More

Early morning Easter Sunday collected the whole family some visiting from Sydney, wife's, adult kids, little kids and headed off for a visit to Collingwood Children's Farm. Parking was easy, short walk to reception, tickets purchased and into the Farm. Only got as far as the cafe, sat on the benches and drank hot coffee and ate fresh scones with... More

Centrally located, this publicly run farmlet allows children to see and touch a variety of farm animals in a very casual and friendly venue. Open 7 days, it is ideal for families as well as school groups.

Arriving early in the morning, as it opened was a good choice as it gets pretty busy here when the weather's good. This is a great place to bring your small kids, there's plenty to see, like petting various small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs etc. The setting is terrific considering how close the city is, it occupies a charming... This place is so wonderful. The layout feels like a little hamlet far from the city. Children will have a ball meeting & feeding the various animals & adults will love the serenity. There's a great cafe on site.

In total this day out cost us about AUD $60 which included an Uber to and from St Kilda and entrance fees. It really wasn't worth the expense or effort. The farm is very run down, not one single staff member welcomed or greeted us and the cafe staff rudely told us they were closed at 14h40. There are a... More

Go here to show your kids farm animals. It has a great cafe. The best time to visit is on market days. Truly the best farmers market I've seen in Australia.
