Sometimes abstract but always interesting work

I've visited a few times since moving to Fitzroy a year ago - I don't always 'get' the work I'm seeing but I enjoy visiting - the photography on show is varied and interesting.

It is small and sometimes (not often) the visit is worthwhile but rarely amazing. Mostly the exhits are disappointing. I would only recommend if you were already in the area and had some time between other engagements.

Yes, as other reviews state it is a small gallery, so just be aware of this and if you're a random traveller you may not know what to expect to be on display. It's a stand alone destination so you need to want to visit and its more often than not worth dropping by to see what's up.

This gallery is a trifle disappointing. I can't say any of the displays were outstanding. The venue is good. but the compulsory "gold coin donation" for entry is tad off-putting. Black and white photography is a medium that requires real skill and artistic ability. I didn't notice any on show.

This place was much smaller than I expected. It's only about 2 rooms large, and they rotate exhibits through it. Not a lot of it was actually photography, which was disappointing.

Bit hit and miss - although I have seen some impressive works here. Worth a look if you are in the area.

CCP is a Gem of a Gallery. The current exhibition features one of the worlds most beautiful cemeteries, Melbourne General Cemetry provides an oasis for reflection and contemplation. If Melboune is the the worlds most liveable city then surely Melbourne General Cemetry must be the worlds best place to rest at the end of your journey. Three artists have captured... More

we went here for a photographic exhibition. Walking in there is a broken step, followed by some stairs, there is no other way into the gallery. This was a fairly small space with beautiful photographs nicely displayed. I would go back for other exhibitions, but I would be much happier if they repaired the step. Parking in the street was... Really interesting exhibition space with some fantastic, modern concepts to see. There's even an interactive space for the kids. We'll be back!

Interesting exhibitions. Well curated. Inspiring. Great space. Informative staff. Enjoyable way to appreciate the culture Melbourne typically offers. I recommend visiting the gallery and a meal at one of the many Restaurants nearby. Very Melbourne
