It's a little tricky to get here, but these days the car can get very close. We went in Feb 2015 and it’s a winter period (25 Celsius) and it was fairly quiet. The locals tell me it gets really busy for most of the year.
There are loads of temples to see and visit. This will take a day to go and see most of it. Great atmosphere and the locals have their own 'mountain' identity. Go and get some spirituality!
The mountain scenery is spectacular. One word of warning, the monkeys will grab your bag and run off with it. Keep an eye out.

Don't dare to take four wheeler to this temple. Carry a stick for support n for monkeys. Don't carry eatables openly. Stairs are pretty dangerous so beware n walk very carefully. This temple is not at all maintained so carry tissue papers n soap for your hygeine. Avoid using washrooms in Mandir premises.

The temple is a km from Garkhal. Road is narrow. The steps to the temple are steep. You can also visit the Shivji temple in the vicinity.

It is the temple of Baba Balak Nath aka Karthik - son of Lord Shiva. This temple is situated 3-4 kms from Mall Road Kasauli. It is situated at a bit of height. You have to walk some stairs to reach it. Entry gate of the temple is beautiful. It is a small temple but very neat and clean. Temple premises is very peaceful, you can relax here and sit in the lap of Baba Balak Nath.
