Witley court and gardens was a great surprise on our holiday. The ruins and particularly the fountains are extremely impressive and beautiful. The audio tour is really helpful and informative. Possible to walk about with a pram as there is generally access. Worth a visit.

We went to the so called Lantern Festival at Witley Court on Sunday 17th. I have never felt so ripped off, conned and mislead about an event in all of my life. We went as a family and forked our £10 a head for the...More

We were promised a magical lantern festival. So we spent £50 on a family night out and drove for an hour to get there. We have been to similar events run by other organisations before so we were really looking forward to it. Wow what...More

English Heritage you have done no favours to Witley Court by staging this amateurish apology for a Lantern Festival. We saw the bad reviews beforehand, but crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. Our daughter and family had come all the way from Cornwall...More

We have never been to Witley Court before and were looking forward to this event. We went on Saturday 16th Dec and unfortunately, were really not impressed. Whilst the actual building and gardens were pretty, and the lit up bridge and disco ball, they really...More

I am absolutely furious at the complete rip off and scam which we experienced as a family last night. We were so looking forward to the Lantern Festival expecting, as advertised, for this to be a magical experience for adults and children. There simply were...More

I have just git baxk from the biggest rip off in my 54 years of existence and I do not exaggerate. The photo on the page advertising this event has better lights in the one photo than actually exist at the event. It is falsely...More

Yes you can take your dog everywhere on the site as long as on a lead. We took ours and there were plenty of other dogs around too. House is ruins but our dog loved wandering around the place. Plenty of paths to wander too... More
