Words fail me - almost. And I am a writer and author! The emporium is a serendipity (if you enthuse over such establishments), or an embarrassment, if you don't. It is an enchanting treasure trove of all things magical, mystical and amazing, from Matchbox toys...More

It is with great regret that I will not be returning to this magical kingdom of racist toys and British Library-bought Harry Potter scarves still in their cellophane. From the second my friends and I stepped in, to the moment we left after being treated...More

I had really looked forward to visiting here but was disappointed. It was much smaller than I had imagined, with a lot less choice than anticipated. The cafe was bigger overall than the stall space! Having to pay to park outside and they don't allow...More

This is nothing more than what my title suggests. My interest is in books but these were vastly overpriced. Jamie Oliver/Nigella cookery books - £6.50. You can pick these up for no more than £2.50 at Cancer Research/Red Cross. Lots of dirty tat along with...More

Lovely setting next to the Mere with a pay car park. Super cafe. Lots of collectables to look at with them well displayed but expensive and you can't barter under £20 each item. Well worth a visit though. Would go again.

Its collectables bit was nice to browse through even though its pieces were priced quite highly. Not suer if you can barter as didn't try. I did go to the adjoining restaurant and asked for a menu to which a girl very sharply told me...More

This facility is next to the paying car park and opposite The Meare. It has a cafe but the main attraction is the extensive market of collectibles and other odds and ends. It’s an essential part of a short visit to this charming village.

After our lunch at the Kitchen we strolled into the adjoining Emporium. Many interesting items on display. I could spend a long time here looking through the various books, paintings, ornaments, etc.

We didn't intend to visit this but as we were parked next door we went into the antique shop. Interesting range of items including a couple of collectable sections and a reasonable size shop. Didn't spend long

Loved every minute, fantastic finds! The emporium has everything to offer and you don’t even need a ‘good eye’ as everything is so lovely! Definitely recommend!!
