If you pop into the Old Swan and Minster Mill put aside an hour or two to visit Minster Lovell Hall located behind the church, it is well worth the 10 minute walk from the hotel.

My partner and I enjoyed an afternoon walking around the ruins and admiring the country views. We extended our visit by walking to Little Minister and back through to the village.

Great place for a picnic on a warm summers day. Sitting by the river watching the world go by. I love this place. You can continue your walk from here along the river to the next village and continue on a circular to your start point. Worth a visit

We have been to the village and visited the church before, and afterwards looking it up on the internet were kicking ourselves for not realising this gem was just behind the church! so we went back today and were not disappointed. Beautiful quiet setting by the windrush, yes it is a ruin, but a fascinating one. Lots of walking and... More

A beautiful spot for a picnic by the Windrush River. Perfect for photographers, artists and history lovers -the ruins are very picturesque. There are also walking paths across the picturesque countryside and the river is perfect for children to swim in warm weather. Parking and entry are free, a bonus. A walk through the nearby Old Minster Lovell village is... More

My other half found this place when he went for a run. It's a lovely walk through the stunning village of Minster Lovell with thatched cottages and chickens running free in gardens. The actual Minster is a ruin but has signs everywhere explaining the history which I love reading about. It's situated next to the beautiful River Windrush which peacefully... More

Went to visit yesterday and was lucky it was a nice sunny day too Beautiful setting as the hall and surrounds are mainly ruins, but you can use you imagination to see what it used to be like. Great building for the age and free to visit too Church and graveyard right next to the site made it even better... More

When people say it's a gem of a find they are not wrong, this is one of the most beautiful hidden away places. The kids were able to paddle in the water, it's gorgeous

A nice stroll from the hotel and very interesting. It is also worth looking in the church. If you allow about an hour including the walk up that will be sufficient.
