We really enjoyed looking round Howden Minster-particularly the stained glass-all of it was very impressive-the whole town is very pretty and worth a visit.

If you have reason to be belting up and down the M62 coming/going Hull take time to chill out and deviate off route into Howden for an hour or two - you won't regret it. A picturesque market town with its centre piece of Howden...More

Beautiful Minster, so old, lots of history, try and find all the church mice carved by Robert (Mousey) Thompson.

We were attracted to this church because its impressive tower can be clearly seen from the nearby motorway. It is a wonderful building, partially ruinous, but what remains is absolutely full of interest. This church was real joy to visit.

Half ruins. Set in the centre of Howden. Well kept. Parking alongside. The church was locked on our visit.

The Minster, both ruins and actual church, are charming to visit. It is the centre of a really pleasant and interesting old town centre.

You will hear the bells chime all around Howden, but the Minster is beautiful inside and out and looks really great in the sun. There is a nice park to picnic in just behind the Minster and appreciate the architecture from a distance. If you...More
