We had an awesome time visiting here. The animal keeper Jose gave us a great tour and taught us a lot about all the animals. He was very helpful and made the visit a ton of fun. They are very willing to answer any questions, and to point out all the animals that are sometimes hard to find due to their camouflage.

The facility looks small and unassuming, but it is filled with a large variety of snakes, frogs, lizards, and more. It is a great place to learn about the animals, many of which are native to Costa Rica.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves seeing and learning about reptiles and other creatures!

Fabulous guide who knew all about the snakes and had actually handled many of them. This is a unique collection of snakes, many of which can no longer be collected.

Very nice moment. It was really nice to learn about those species with the guide José, passionate about those animals and taking care of them.

Wow! We had a terrific time at the EcoZoo, our guide Guy took ALOT of time with us to explain more than everything in detail. Super interesting and very awesome, you must visit if you are in the area, the whole staff is very welcoming! The kids really loved it.
The next time I’m in the area I will most definitely come back!
Thanks Guy for the great tour!

Fantastic visit with volunteer gap year student Guy. So well informed and generous with his knowledge, time and passion for the snakes in particular. Our nine year old was mesmerised. Well worth a visit

This is the best place if your looking for a great serpentarium that also is home to awesome frogs and lizards. I heard about it watching one of my favorite wildlife youtubers, and I was not disappointed. Our guide was very calm, informative and showed his love and appreciation for these animals. Plus you get to hold some snakes!! 10/10 would come back again.

We had an entire day here as these guys are real experts in the reptiles, snakes, frogs and spiders of Costa Rica. it was fascinating to spend time in their company and see the real reverence they have for the animals that they look after. A remarkable day in our trip to Costa Rica.

My boyfriend and I decided to stop and checkout the Eco zoo after reading a few reviews. We never get a guide but this time we did and it was well worth it! Jose was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about every animal. He did not rush us and let us go at our own pace. I got to hold a snake for the first time in my life. We very much enjoyed the entire tour as Jose as our guide. He even threw in some jokes for free. Paying a little extra for the guide is well worth it. You will not be disappointed! They even have a little restaurant area, though we didn't eat during our visit, it smelled very good.

An amazing experience for children and adults alike. Customized and educational tour where you will learn and be able to interact with several species of snakes and lizards. Beautiful views of the Arenal Volcano and lake and your visit you’ll supporting a family business ran by professionals with a true love and passion for teaching about the animals they care for.
