A evening walk in nature was different, our guide had flashlights and was very adept in finding and showing us a variety of nesting birds an three toe sloth and baby, a few different species of frogs , including the red eyed frog. I would suggest the night walk only for something different , the day light experience would provide... More

Stopped by for a visit after going to Sky Adventures for some ziplining. This was about 15 minutes further down the road. Basically, you pay an admission fee and a tour guide takes you through the exhibits to look at snakes, frogs, lizards, toads and insects. It takes about an hour and a half. They will let you hold some... More

We had a great morning here with a personal guided tour and introduction to all the snakes, reptiles, amphibians and spiders. My two year old was delighted to hold some baby snail eating snakes and my five year old loves finally meeting a red eyed tree frog. Lovely friendly staff, including Victor who collected us from our accommodation at Arenal... More

My wife and I went to this EcoZoo and were very impressed with the animals they had for viewing. Most of all, we enjoyed our private tour with Chris! Chris is a very personable and knowledgeable guide who speaks both English and Spanish. For those of you who like reptiles - go to this place and ask for Chris!

We saw the signs and thought let's check it out. Not much to look at from the outside but once the tour starts it was fantastic. I suggest paying the couple extra bucks and going with a tour guide, the young men are so knowledgeable and truly love what they do. We were able to hold snakes and lizards. We... More

These people are the nicest people. They bent over backwards to make sure we would get good photographs of their reptile collection. We paid for 4 hours and they gave us 6 with an invite to come back the next day, which we did. The one hour they offered for free turned into 3 hours with offers of food and... More

The reptile and amphibian exhibits were fantastic. I teach senior high school biology and was able to take some great photos of rainforest specimens to show my students back in Australia. Staff very helpful and money well spent.

We spent about three and a half hours here as a group of volunteers from the Butterfly Conservatory. We learned so much awesome information from our guide, Esteban, and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. The animals are very well taken care of and look healthy and happy.

We went here on a rainy afternoon while staying at the nearby Arenal Observatory and Lodge. From the outside this place does not look like much and as the entrance price is relatively high we were not 100% convinced from the start. However, as soon as our tour got underway and we noticed how knowledgeable and friendly our guide was... More

My boyfriend and I came across this place while driving through the area and we are extremely glad we stopped in. This is a small, family operated business and a great learning experience. It was $23 per person for a guided tour around the grounds. Our guide Victor (a biology student) was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about all the animals... More
