Great lookout point

While Hahoe Village offers many good photo spots, Buyongdae Cliff across the river offers the best panoramic view of the village. It’s a 10 km detour to weave around the river bend and a short climb to get to the cliff but the view from there is fantastic. Most visitors will probably be sick of the Joseon-era buildings after the Hahoe visit but the Hwacheon Seowon Confucian Academy by the viewpoint parking lot is worth a short look.

Panoramic view from the buyongdae cliff

BUYONGDAE CLIFF for a panoramic view of the entire village. A river is in between the cliff and the village, thus I have to take a mini ferry ride to cross it. The ferry is not free, its only 1000won per person. Getting up you have to climb up. It’s like 100m ascend, manageable and it took me atleast 15 minutes, which was okay. I felt so accomplished when I’ve reached the top. The view is amazing.
