It is a peaceful place to relax.
Also, there are many trees, so the air seems clear and it's a good place to take a walk with your family.
It was the prettiest place with autumn leaves, and there were many things to see in the museum, and it was a place where I could learn a lot about trees.
It was nice to go on weekdays because it was quiet and there are benches everywhere so you can sit and relax anywhere.
It is really good to go in spring or fall.
I recommend you to visit this place when you come to Korea.

I’ve visited many botanical gardens. Many which are beautiful and amazing. However they have had a lot of human influence. This garden is in a forest with some human influence. I feel it was set up to be a place of research of plants. Entrance fee is 1,000 won but you have to make a reservation on the website which is in Korean. Public transportation is very easy from Uijeongbu bus terminal, you can take the number 21 bus which is about 30 stops but the bus doesn’t skips most of the stops so it’s faster.

Very good arboretum. Probably the best and the biggest near Seoul.
The entrance fee is only 1,000 won. But, the reservation is ESSENTIAL. No chance to be sold out by the way. Not crowded during the visit.

- How to get there from Seoul: Subway #1 until Uijeongbu station and bus #21 near exit #3. The bus takes 30~50 min until the arboretum.

- Better to buy something to eat at Uijeongbu Station such as gimbap. There's no decent place to eat nearby.

- There are many signs to warn snakes and poisonous insects. But, it's okay with just a little bit of care.

- Most exotic huge trees are growing in greenhouses. The biggest greenhouse (Tropical Plant Resource Research Center) allows a guided tour only followed by certain time slots. So, check out the schedule in advance.

- There's a low hillside in the east parts. Not that tough to climb up.

- West parts are better to have a trail. Many tall trees and shades.

- There was a zoo at the end of 300m trail and it is closed now. Visitors just have to come back as there's no way to go to the other side.

Taxi ride from Uijeongbu was about 20USD. We enjoyed walking the grounds with a Forest Interpreter and bird guide. Made arrangements before arriving in South Korea. Wonderful place! We visited on a Wednesday. We could have spent days here, alas we only spent half a day.
