Very picturesque, especially before sunset. Visited in the summer when the weather was mild and sunny, and saw people fishing, playing in the water, and taking leisurely strolls.

FIrst time at Chain Lakes Campground. Since it was first come first serve and it was not busy, we picked site B35, it had great views to the Southwest and enough space between sites that it was comfortable. The site was also very level. We arrived and the power was on (30 amp and 15amp) which worked perfectly. We had... More

A beautiful park with camping sites. If you're looking for a peaceful place to go & get away from the city, this is it. If you need supplies or some great meals/entertainment, Nanton & Longview are just along the road. Chain Lakes is beautiful & you can often see people out fishing on the stocked lake.

This was the favourite fishing trip destination of my Father-in-law, Stu. It has changed a lot since I was last there with him nearly forty years ago. One of the best times to be there is in the late spring. There are a lot of campgrounds and many places to view wild life such as elk and deer, and the... More

We love going to Chain Lakes. In the winter we go for ice-fishing, in the summer we love to walk around the lake, camp and the kids love the play ground.

Last weekend, we decided to scout out chain lakes or should it be just lake. Anyway once we reached the place, We found that it was quite open meaning there was very little shade. Most trees were about 10 feet or so and shrubs. The place really needs a face lift and fire pits at each table. Could use more... More

This is a beautiful place to visit, and Hiway 533 is a magnificent way to get there. Just right for a day out with a picnic basket.
