The inside of the church is really a sight to see, paintings and sculptures are awe inducing. It's a fairly small church- don't expect a guided tour or to spend an afternoon exploring it. There is a very respectful and sombre atmosphere to the place....More

This is a lovely cathedral in a small town outside Basel. It's just what you might picture if you were to imagine an old Swiss Village, with the church as the central point.

After extensive renovation works this baroque church is open again for the public ! You can not miss this church and Dorfplatz !

Sumptuous cake-icing pastel delicacy of restoration (and complete redesign in 18th century) from original simple and austere design in 17th century. High altar under renovation at present so wrapped by a trompe d'oeil covering which may trompe you until you approach near. Plenty else to...More

Arlesheim is a very pretty village to visit. The Dom in Domplatz is spectacular and should not be missed. The Ermitage is also another pretty place to have a stroll around,

The Dom was quite big for such a small town. It was open when I was there (Tuesday, 6 pm). The area around the dome is really nice.
