A fantastic place just to hang out with family and friends... BBQ's are great and great beach access.

Booked ahead to stay 3 days to stay at this park. We were on a 6 week road trip. Our experience was terrible. We had instructions by email of our site and code for toilet as no-one would be there to check us in. When we arrived we immediately got a bad feeling about this site ( lots of permanent old vans and people not friendly ) We saw a man cleaning the amenities and asked where 48 was his reply was next to 47. We found the site which was all dirt and we didn't feel safe so we left. I contacted the manager by phone and left a message stating reasons for not staying and asked for part refund. He did not bother to reply. I emailed him 3 weeks later to which he replied and basically said no refund.

This is an interesting area to walk with the Merricks Creek, the related wetlands and the sand dunes and beach of Western Port Bay. The area runs essentially from Sommers through to Balnarring Beach . Winter is the best. This area can be accessed via the Coolart Wetlands and Balnarring Beach

wonderful 70ha nature reserve bordered by Merricks Creek and Western Port Bay. it forms part of the Western Port biosphere and is an internationally renowned RAMSTAR site (wetland).. for mine the best area to enjoy is near the lord somers camp along the merrick creek. all in all a great spot to camp, hike, fish, birdwatch, kayak etc
